Additional Stratum 1 Timeservers and NTP Changes

Faelix has purchased additional DCF77 receiver modules, and these have been rolled out and are being tested on the Faelix network. Additionally, a GPS receiver with PPS output has been purchased and the circuitry has been tested, but this still needs mounting on the roof of the Faelix head office.

In preparation for these additional refclocks, Faelix has made a few changes to the existing time servers:

• all time servers to use 5 time sources (either third-party stratum 1 or stratum 2 servers, or Faelix's own)
• time sources chosen to be geographically, politically and technologically diverse
• a third public NTP Pool server has been added

Further MSF and hopefully HBG reference clocks will be connected to NTP servers and brought online in the coming months. A full list of time servers available at Faelix is available from ntp.faelix.net.
